Please request restores via a support ticket. Requests should include:
- Your account name
- The name of the server
- The name of the file or directory you need restored
- The location of the file or directory within your home directory or disk
- The last known "good" dates of the files you want recovered
A restore usually takes 24 hours if the backup set is still on-site. If the backup set has been moved off-site then there is usually a 48 hour period for us to retrieve the set and complete the restore.
Restored files are placed in a directory called "restore" in the top level of your directory. There may be several files on this directory with names like "-1", etc. This is due to the way that retrospect backs up files.
