digital.forest Acquires Rackhenge Networks

digital.forest today announced the acquisition of Rackhenge Networks. Both companies are privately held. The terms of the purchase were not released. Rackhenge Networks, founded in 1998 provides Colocation and Network Services for Web sites with high-volume bandwidth requirements.

"The acquisition of Rackhenge is a significant key to our future growth," said Chris Kilbourn, President and CTO of digital.forest. "Rackhenge's expertice in data center and network management fits nicely into our growth plans for 2000-01," continued Kilbourn. digital.forest will continue to provide service to Rackhenge clients, and will retain the companies technical staff and assets. The transition will be complete by the end of April, 2000.

Rackhenge Founder, Chuck Goolsbee, will join digital.forest effective immediately as Vice President of Technical Services. Mr. Goolsbee will oversee digital.forest's network operations.

Noted for its expertise hosting FileMaker Pro databases, a service the company pioneered in 1996, digital.forest also provides Web Hosting, Server Colcation and data center solutions to clients in over 30 countries worldwide.
